Nut graph: A post-pandemic surge in participation in fishing continues to attract record numbers of Americans to the water, notes a new survey from the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF). Some 57.9 million U.S. participants ages 6 and older picked up a rod and took a cast in 2024, an all-time high. This growing group of enthusiasts includes 21.3 million women — the greatest number on record.
